What do you think, should I colour the flames on the gun barrel?

And if so, how? In turquoise to white or gold or red/orange like real flames?

Or does anyone have a completely different idea?

… I would be in favour of turquoise, it would have to be very ingenious and also look different for a change! :metal:

That’s it for today,

The base is still missing and I still want to take care of the flames on the cannon barrel.I still don’t know exactly what to do with them.

But Zanko thought of turquoise, maybe I’ll just do that.

Looks so good, I’ll go in the other direction than Zanko and say I reckon orange/red would look good. It’ll tie in to the magma reservoir on top and add a seperate focal point. Blue would still look awesome though.

Servus,

here at last is my magma cannon.
It was a good piece of work, because I didn’t really know where to put which colours.

But I am very satisfied and the original Forgeworld CHaos dwarfs fit quite well to the rest of my army.

I hope you like the good piece.

At the moment I’m thinking about painting a banner and putting it on the base… let’s see

Oh yer, I love it dude, the blue next to the more muted colours looks amazing. :lammasu1:

Good choice on the brass end of the cannon as well. How did you get the crackle effect on the base?

Thank you very much, I have been struggling with the choice of colours for a long time. But now I am very happy with it

For the base I use a paste from AK,

Now and then I make a base with some green step or cork. Then the paste and some colour and ink until I like it.

I had written it in my BATG section that I got a new model…

After I had to clean up a little bit for the GH competition, the Astragoth proxy had to take its place.

I do not know the model yet, is that also from LK? Looks promising! :+1:

Yes, you are right, the model is from Lost Kingdom Miniatures.

So now I’ll take some time and show you something of the path to the goal.

First I got the individual parts and had to free them from the supports and then I could put them together…

First the most important model was painted, Azuhr the God King.

Then a willing tool

I then painted one of the statues as a test, and because I was very happy with it, I quickly applied it to all the parts.

And then the drive…
42 Drive units…

Then there’s the base…

Some glue, many curses and some loss of skin

As already said by others, the bulls and the marble paint effect on them is really beautiful. An impressive model, and I have to admit that actually I’m not a huge fan of the model itself…but Holy Hashut you have done an amazing amount of time, effort and world class painting to it!
It’s really jaw dropping.
Your skills have made me reevaluate my first thoughts, and damn it’s beautiful.
Well done!
