There is nothing wrong with finishing a project after the voting and posting it up. The vast majority of entries are not podium finishes, and we all enjoy seeing a passion project whatever day it is posted.
I’m sure it is nice to be part of the big post but that’s why there are weeks and weeks of time to “compete” at your own pace.
I look forward to seeing all the minis, whenever they appear, but only people who really commit should be eligible for our system of meaningless internet badges.

I usually submitted on deadline sharp previously, so I wouldn’t know either.
