That’s one mighty fine Lamassu alright! And he looks appropriately angry at those who would disturb whatever it is he is guarding at the moment. Very impressive wings also!
It’s come out great @MichaelX , very impressive for contrast and dry brush too
This is really really cool! That one guy getting whipped around is hilarious!
tell us your secrets, wing wizard - is that linework or drybrushing or some sorcerous combination of the two?
Contrast and drybrush… who has time for linework
Looks great michael, i did notice the big bollocks on the taurus haha
Haha those aren’t on me! I didn’t even highlight them!
Great design! I love the dramatic dynamic of the whole scene. Also, very cool feathery wings on the Taurus, a welcome change to the usual bat like membrane style!
I can’t take much credit for the model, it’s a lost kingdom one. I just changed it a bit. Mostly moved the dwarf back a bit for sturdiness.
Michael, even if you say you cheated a little, I really like your Lamasu. Very brilliant colours and a great result
Hey man, thank you! Appreciate it!
Beautiful monsters there Michael, lovely work.
And I do
Great work
Gotta say, I realised only now that he has wings with feathers. I really like those on abtautus and Lamassu.
Great work on both mike!!
Thanks man! I like them too. Was fun to paint and I’m glad I kept them for one of the last models on the current to do list.
Those two monsters are great. The Taurus is fantastic. I have always loved feathered wings on these.
Thanks Uther! Same. I like the ones with membrane wings but the feathery ones are where it’s at
As always, shocked by your work rate and impressed by the results! If you hadn’t said the lamassu was 4 hours I’d have guessed it was a week’s painstaking work. The taurus also looks appropriately furious and I’m not surprised you moved that little flying guy, I think I’d end up clumsily snapping him off before I’d even finished painting him. It’s a big improvement and still looks great.
