totally random night, because i stalket and observed what @Brawniac was doing on discord, so i tried to replicate with my 1st attempt ever in sculpting something 3d (almost 1st at sculpting in general ahuahuhauahu)

@Fabelzel @Fuggit_Khan prepare for trouble and make it double!

Sculptris is quite an intuitive software, but it’s quite easy to see where it does fall short after a while.
BUT its great for practice and learn to move in the 3d space for sure

might try to finish this prophet bust too

Wonderful! And to think this is your first sculpt!

Having seen a large part of this come to life was fun mate! I like hobby Hangouts

I just did some clicking in blender’s sculpting environment, its not that different compared to sculptris, maybe smart to switch now since blender is still supported and sculptris is out of support.

@Brawniac there is so much I have to learn, must add this to zbrush!
@MichaelX maybe because I was following a tutorial along the way, but blender to me seems impossible to comprehend, way too vast and detailed with all those masks and linked objects/effects

Maybe. I just looked at the sculpting interface and that seemed very similar to sculptris. It not exactly the same but the tools are all there.

I love this wave of 3d sculpted Chaos Dwarfs!

Sculptris definitely looks a little more intuitive than Blender for sculpting like this.

I still have plans to make some Chaos Dwarf Ogres in Blender, but haven’t had the time to figure it all out. Maybe this is a good excuse to join the 3d-sculpting fun!

Impressive work for your first try…Hashut be praised.
I have to say I’ve been really enjoying watching your increasingly progressive modeling skills over the years.
Well done my friend

@bas_2312 your ogre are a national treasure! If you have the skill, please make them!! It would be sooooo awesome for every one!

@Fabelzel Zug Zug! Gotta work! After the entry of my golden hat will be completed, I will have some time to invest in sculpting!

@Fuggit_Khan you all, and you in particular, always been an inspiration and great support. We are all growing here, and I’m not talking about age number!

With this said, Let’s continue my madness! You all can see from my blogs that I keep moving from a project to another
This morning I woke up with those pics in my inbox as @Oxymandias printed the test bust I made

I don’t care if there are mistakes and some things need to be adjusted for a better printing, man, a model that I sculpted, me, Eddy, the last wheel of the chariot, the jack of all trades and master of none, it’s fucking tangible!! I still cannot believe it, the beard looks messy, but it’s awesome to me xD

HELL YES!

Also @Brawniac thx truly to you, I learned so much in just 30 mins of watching you work, cannot wait for other streams on the discord server!

thank you guys for the compliments, gotta say, i’m loving this new take on the hobby even tho i dont own a 3d pritner

today a pack from Russia arrived! WHOOO HOO!! (even if i had to pay 5 euro extra due to import fee)
I saw few of them around, but never a full pic of the Russian Alternatives Bull centaurs
why do they cost 30 euro? why 10 euro each and 30 euro just the general itself?

Today I gladly understood why, and i’ll show you too!

they are huge 1st of all, the lord is twice the size of a regular RA bull (unfortunatly i dont have a classic big hat bull in the new house, they are still at my dad’s place)

it’s curious how in the 1h weapon set they made the 2 different top head parts, hat/no hat, while the 2h weapon set only comes with the big hat one (someone might be wrong in his souls and prefer the version with no hats :hat7: )

the lord also comes with hat/no hat, and the different bits in all those sets are so great

I also really wish to see @bas_2312 being able to get his hands on the set, because as you can see in the last picture, the bodies alone make up for some fantstic chaos ogres! (or eventually large busts)
im considering to buy another set just for the possibility of create this conversion, even tho i fucking suck at those things!

Ooh that’s some big boys right there!

Some legs/arms for those guys shouldn’t be too hard to sculpt.

Not for me though, I still have the bodies for the Forgeworld Taurukh I have to use someday…

So, apparently I bought a 3d printer ( Anycubic Mono) as some of you know already from my rants and failures.
But this is what came out after the second and proper try!

@Fabelzel minis are really awesome, BUT THE BUST I SCULPTED IS AWESOMEST!! AAAAAAAAAAAAA
YEEEESSSSSS

also printed idefix from Asterix, Ein from cowboy bebop for my girlfriend, the worm from Worms and a D&D model for a friend
