Thank you all for your help. It gives me a little more insight into his last hours. Corbin loved this community. He even got my husband involved in painting and his girlfriend was able to rescue some of his figures (which he threw into the rubbish) on Sunday 28th. We have some of those figures now - but I can’t bear to look at them yet.

Those models will keep and will still be there for you when the time is right. While they may look odd and weird (my wife certainly thinks mine do) those pieces you have still represent something that was positive in his life - they brought him some small measure of joy (not to be too corny), fun times spent with friends (on-line and in person), and I’m absolutely certain that the creation and painting of them would have brought calm to his mind and some inner peace. I don’t think about these things when I look at the things I’ve made, but I do have a sense, deep down, that those things I’ve made are a manifestation of the hours of calm enjoyment, fun personal challenges, and the inner peace I experienced while making them. Those are all positive things and I promise you they were present in his life and he experienced them too. He was a wonderful member of our community.
P.S. About a year ago some of us were working on a project and discussing if we should get Pyro involved.
Corbin, better known as Pyroven, has been dilligently building his various archives and data hoards over the past year or so.
We haven’t had community awards for 2023 but I do think he was our best newcomer. He’s a patron, a dwarf collector, a frequent poster, engaged in projects. His heart’s in the right place.
