Id be murdering those swordmasters from afar asap. Dont charge them unless with alot of impact hits as they will hit you 1st in 2 ranks. Wipe them out
If you can squeeze Daemonic familiar on something that you intend to put up against the dragon - that can really help get the wounds through

You donāt want to be in close combat with the Star Dragon. I think, the only unit who can fight with him are the blunderbuss with stand an shoot. But the high elf player will not go in this combat.

What do you think about the new items for our chaos dwarfs ?
The (Icon of Fortitude 35pts. Immune to Multiple Wounds. Infantry/Cavalry only) should be good for our Taurāruk. With mantel of stone, Enchanted Shield and great weapon he looks fine for me.

I can force him to a degree but the problem is he has speed and punch adventageā¦
I love this one. I will try it for sure. Great tool against cannon spam! And the throwing sword (what a stupid idea lol).
Banner od swirling wind is a better ashen banner.
No stops is also great choice for infantry like IG.
Tomek od spellcraft on key spells is great.

They will be updated in the upcoming Arcane Journal Razing of the Westerlands, but the rules have been leaked.

Iām excited to try the Monster Hunter Tapestry too. I think itās a clear winner on a block of IG with great weapons. The problem is that the black orcs, Ironsworn and Blunderblock all have great banners already. Might be work throwing a BSB in with the no-stomp banner.
the other item Iām very excited about is the Trailblazers Haubruk for the Khan on foot joining a sneaky git mob. First, it lets him move through cover (which honestly means I was playing it wrong before because he should have been slowing down the Gitz before). And importantly gives him the option to scout and make the enemy think carefully about lone wizards and war machine. Plus a 4+ AS with a shield isnāt bad!

Yes there is actually a decent amount of content in this new Arcane Journal ā¦ canāt wait to see how the new items will work.
Iāll playtest this next Christmas. Armies will converge underneath the Christmas tree.

Had my Chorfs out for their first 2 day event last weekend! The new items where not allowed yet, sadly 
The list was a bit of a mix, tried out 2 DSR and Infernal Guard with Fireglaives. The Rocketlaunchers performed kinda ok, but not too great, the Fireglaives just sucked in nearly every situation.
The rest of the List was a Khan in 39 Hobgoblins, who did quite well, an Iron Demon, which did good, 10 Sneaky Gits who where awesome, 5 Wolfriders with a Khan with RubyRing (the unit itself was good, but the Ring sucks now) and a Tauruk with T7, who did quite some work as well.
My takeaway is to go back to Blunderbusses. With the new Tome of Spellcraft, Elementalism should be more consistent again and with the new banners there are nice options. Not really sold on warmachines yet, will go with double ID next event. The Staff of Quietude looks awesome against Vamps and Khemri but it requires a second caster ā¦ not sure on that.
Lammasu and Bull will stay at home I guess, want to go for 2 big bricks of Hobgoblins for better scoring. (1 just gets shot to pieces over the course of the game)

I played my freshly painted chorfs in a tournament a couple of weeks ago. it didāt go all that well (1-5,3-3,5-1) but on the positive side, the infantry units are absolute bricks and very hard to remove - although the Ironsworn rolled not-so-great dices!; the dreadquake is nice, very resilient vs skirmishers and light ambushers units and even managed to kill the khorne demon engine (the big mechanical guy) with a lucky multiple wounds roll and finish off a warpfire dragon.
The hobgoblin were nice, they actually survived all three games! very useful and even managed to inflict a couple of wounds on dragons here and there.
The sorceror on bull i think it worked, itās a pretty big points sink but with the demonic familiar did wonders vs Chaos demons and the warpfire dragon. He died in the first game vs the empires, as the other guy had like 3 cannons there was no hope sadly. I have to say though that Ibasically lost the first game by not moving on the the scoring hill immediately, leaving it for way to long to the opponend who ended up scoring 900 pts from it (which was basically his pts delta). So more an error on my part than anything else!

How does Lammasu works for You? I work on a similar list but with Tauāruk not a 2nd flyer but I am not sure what I like better.
I will be playing in a team event with renegades allowed. This is my initial idea. I am not sure if a power scroll or Tome of spellcraft is a better choiceā¦ Anyone tested the second one?

Hi @MiSiO this looks very solid. Two questions/thoughts: the re-roll on the spell probably needs to be thought for storm of ash: the lvl 3-4 for goes from a 58% chance to an 82% chance whereas the lvl 1-2 will bump up from a 41 to 66% chance, which is decent margin improvement for both, but depends on how reliable you need it to be I guess.
other than that, do you not want the razor standard on the blunderblock? For me the AB has always been the way I get work done.
