Heroquest orcs!
Lately im going old school and thinking of painting as much battlemasters and Heroquest themed stuff to use in a chaos dwarf army.
Strangely most models fit into chais dwarf army list despite no official Heroquest chaos dwarves existing. Im well happy i found the bard and the boss on thingiverse- so much character.
Id love to get these to at least 20 one day. I have got the oldest plastic orcs i know of coming to me in the post to help me get those numbers

Both the cd knight and the wings are from ralpartha. The wings fit that model pretty much perfectly. Im guessing this is the model you mean…
The orc guitarist is awesome. Clearly a very successful busker.

I tried to paint this for a previous golden hat entry for the malal force but i ran out of time and had no crew. Painting white is difficult! Not my best Painting but im glad i got it finished finally

Chaos dwarf juggernaut
Spent a lot of hours each day for the last week or so doing this. Ive always wanted a juggernaut like nico realms one. This is as close as ill get most likely. I went for a tzeentch one.
Incase you aren’t sure, this is a printable version on cults. For anyone else attempting this id print it a bit bigger (10-15%). The centaur was really difficult to fit in.
3 painted asscannons and 3 painted juggernauts …im a big timer now!

The juggernaut looks incredible. How does it compare in size to the original? Would it still need to be scaled up that much to be compatible with original parts? I tried to give the sculptor accurate measurements but it sounds like they are a tiny bit off. It looks great either way and I can’t wait to print one myself.

Unfortunately i font own the original so i cant hrlp you there.
I think there were 2 options for wheels and the sculptor recommended the larger ones. The little square holes in the top level didn’t quite line up to the underlying supports. Getting the centaur in meant i had to paint it separately then squeeze it through the bottom of the juggernaut. I removed thd tab from its feet and glued it and the juggernaut to the base at the same time, while holding them from the top. A bit stressful!
Personally id mske the juggernaut a bit bigger if i ever did another one. Osm models for example would be too big for this.
I look forward to seeing your interpretation of this.
Also there was a lot of sanding down to get the front into the chassis. Im not sure how you could avoid that though.
Still, its a fabulous kit. The creator did a great job!
