Abecedar do you have an army blog on the old cdo website? Ive never seen it. I just see your regular competition entries. I might go hunting for it there if you do.

Undercoating already?

Igor! I need a bigger whip!

I searched in the depths of my boxes and found something, hopefully all the parts are there. In addition, I have ordered some new dwarf models, which still have to be chaotised - then they should fit.

Ha! The bigger whip worked over the weekend. Igor now informs me that part A of the project nears completed construction, part B is now complete as is part D. Sadly part C is, apparently, still in the planning phase. Brilliant Daemon-binder and engineer Igor. Clearly less good with his alphabet. Now, where did I put those thumbscrews.

First, I’m juggling roughly five and making a hash of all of them

Worry not. Forge ahead with all five!

Have an idea. Remains to be seen if I can pull it off. My work desk is littered in bits and bobs, and I need to start chopping stuff, but I find my motivation is floundering which means I may need a more intriguing idea. Realized the procrastination quotient is not high enough yet, and stopped all work. In keeping with tradition, I’ll figure it out not more than two weeks before, and more likely 4 or 5 days prior to contest end. These CDO contests take too much of my time… lol.

Ahhh yes. The appropriate use of ‘time pressure’.

‘Necessity is the Mother of Invention’ as they say. .But Whips are the Midwife are they not Igor?

Quick question: does brittle resin drill easily? Without breaking? Use a metal head?

I’ve had good luck with drilling Forgeworld resin. just started with small bit and increment up

I stressfully took a power drill to the end of an iron daemon and worked all the way up to a ~.5" bit to hollow out the conning tower of my kitbashed daemon engine

Edit: do I recommend this level of insanity… no… but as needed, it can be done. I drill and pin small resin stuff all the time

Yes, very easily. Take it slow and deliberately.

One thing to wstch out for if you drill a small hole and try to drill larger after is, it chips easily so be careful. This also applies for example if you are drilling out a barrel or something thin.

So… yesterday I finished the daemon part of my daemon cannon… and this morning I wanted to prime it. Then I dropped it…

Long story short… I figured that would be the perfect moment to address some design flaws It had and it came out much better for it.

Praise hashut…

Cheers for advice. A little scared, might try it, might not…haha

certainly. when I was coring that part with each bit was able to go slow enough and with enough pressure to get the waste to come off in a big coil, instead of chips
