I have to admit i really enjoyed painting these! They take contrast and drybrushing so well!

All I want for Christmas is Q!
Got myself this mini from the Away Missions OP kit, and really wanted to paint him. And again it was a lovely little mini to paint.
Hopefully this is not the last mini this year and I’ll have some more time to finish some Tyranids this week.

I had hoped to get a little project done the past week since I had some days off, but ofcourse most of my time was spend with friends and family.
So all I got done was a big pile of bases to update my Tyranid army:
All my painted Tyranids now have updated bases to match this new style. And I should have some more to fill out the bases in 2024!
So that doesn’t change the numbers, and this is what I ended up with this year:
Bought and added to the pile: 113

Painted models: 234
Painted scenery: 35
Current Score: -159 (looks like I made a mistake adding up somewhere, because according to the spreadsheet I’m at -160!)

So end of year in review!
Lets check out my goals from the start of 2023:
- Paint up my Tyranid army.
DONE!- Paint up a MESBG warband.
DONE!- Finish painting the base set of the Horizon Zero Dawn boardgame.
Not done, but at least I worked on it a bit!Finish painting and building my Mordheim buildings.

Pretty succesful. 1000 pts of Tyranids painted and around 800 pts of Hobbits painted. Only a couple new Horizon models added to the count (with lots more to do…) and a couple more Mordheim buildings (still 3 more to do I think).
All in all a pretty productive year, though not as productive as 2022! But I started playing 40k and MESBG, and really loved played these games with my friends (and meeting new friends).
I’ll save my goals for 2024 for a new post, but I’m sure there will be more 40k and MESBG, and probably some Old World action!

Hot damn I’ve got to agree those bases are drool-worthy. Any pointers for us plebs? It just all looks to fantastic - stripes, it’s all clean and yet grungy at the same time. They’re so sharp!
Little bit of painters tape and then just colour it in. After that a little wash and some rust and you’re done!
