A curly beard always improves a chin.
Ming would be twice as merciless with a full chaos dwarf beard rather than that anemic goatee.

I prefer the head only logo. It’s simpler, straight message, compact! Perfect for a logo.

Head logo is probably better for the stor, but you could use bigger one in some other form, like in contact info page or some other one…

For my taste I would emphasise the dwarfness of the shoulders pushing the quadruped/biped ‘join’ to the upper chest.
