New Hobgoblin models for Age of Sigmar

Excellent news. Nice and clearly back in the fluff. Now we just need warscrolls and minis. Interestingly we ally with greenskins rather than enslave them… does that mean we could take hobgrots and Kruelboys as allies?? Would be nice to have a black orc substitute.

It’s 2021. People cry everywhere. Sjw in every corner.
Slavery? Today? In a game?? My son could never recover from this. I have to be the guiding light for other people, communities and countries.

Many people out there grew soft, and now we can’t have a fantasy evil race that enslave other people.
Politically correct is doom

Wow, Chaos-worshipping Duardin as infernal craftsmen trading slaves using Hobgrot proxies.

Looks like we are on the ascent once again! Exciting times.

I saw the size comparison of the new hobgolins on face book. They are perfectly sized for oldhammer. Built like the brilliant arachnarok goblins but taller. I think theyll fit fine with helms and hats

I could not copy the photo…i really tried too…sad times!

Wargames Atlantic can do no wrong!

A great take on a colour scheme and a really good look at the new minis too… I like them even more now

Love the green! But again, they fit that orange too in my eyes.

After weeks of being OK with it I’m now really struggling not to pick up this box.
I’m trying to limit my Battle Against The Grey not add to it (speaking of which I need to update that thread)
With the new 40k Orks coming soon after this launch I really don’t need another project :grimacing:

Part of me wants to convince you to do get a job to see what it will be like! But I have to respect the holy law of batg…

I just registered here, and I’m already kicking myself for not finding the forums earlier. “Chaos-worshipping Duardin clans”? I honestly thought CD were done when Forge World seemingly ran short on Legions of Azgorh stock…but the image you posted gives me a ton of hope.

Flaming hope covered smoldering coal.

Welcome to the forum Ihsan, hope you’re enjoying it.
I honestly worry about geedubz bringing back Chaos Dwarfs, they’ve already ruined dwarfs, elves, humans and vampires. I hate to think what they might do to our beloved CDs.

I arranged to split the Dominion box with someone to get these fellas. As soon as I did, Lost Kingdom unveiled their Hobgoblins. And holy hellfire are they good.

Welcome aboard @Ihsan997 and @rollforwounds

@Ihsan997 I too am hopeful at the prospect we may have a new plastic line coming, I’ve slimmed down my other AoS collections in preparation to go all in if it happens :cd1991gif: I’m hoping for a cool update but as much as I like how they are pushing the limits of things these days it does mean it could go either way with a new line of Chaos Dwarfs

I’ll be happy just go watch it all unfold mind even if I don’t like the minis

@rollforwounds I’ve been thinking of maybe doing the same, it’s mainly the Hobgrots I’d like to have, they’d fit right into my Legion of Azgorh army

I know how you guys feel about GW and new CDs. But whatever they do model wise there will probably be new unit types/machines/monsters/hero’s etc for us to convert/sculpt our versions of and enough other manufacturers to provide counts as or conversion fodder. Hopefully something will be better than nothing.

I really enjoy the ‘high fantasy’ they do, even if a particular model doesn’t do it for me (elf Kangaroos for example) it’s full marks for effort as far as I’m concerned. It’s a lot more interesting that just a revision of an old model

Absolutely right @Uther.the.unhinged at the very least we’ll have more inspiration for more Golden Hats, Artisans comps

Even if I had personally hoped for something else, it’s still great to see that every new decade will see a completely new vision of Chaos Dwarfs (and this time they’re not skipping Hobgoblins). We keep on being weird in a myriad of creative ways, both at the hands of GW/FW and at the hands of hobbyists.

Also, the new Hobgrots with helmets are growing on me as something that could look good in a Hellcannon style army, or possibly LoA.

And as an aside, the constant shift in styles mean that minor companies keep being most viable going forward, since there are so many generations of Chaos Dwarf styles and players to cater to, constantly growing in multifaceted number.

Cheers

especially accurate considering it shifts faster than lots of people (looking at me) finish enough of their projects toward a particular army (won’t use the phrase “completed army” since I don’t believe in that). So there’s demand for not the current gen… And as we’ve seen here that can be taken to the extreme of an ever expanding force of the same scheme.

Dragh - if you get it from Wayland, you can get it for £100.

I’m gonna be selling the orukks and most of the fatcast chonkternals at cost on the secondary, but the pot grot, hobgrots, and stabgrot are mine and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
