New unit idea…chaos goblins
Ive been wanting chaos goblins for a while. This seems like a very affordable way.
What do you think? Does it work?

I have always loved the idea of a short story about Black Goblins:
Imagine a Dhawi-Zharr sorcerer recovering some of the forbidden magics by which the Black Orcs were made, and applying the process to Goblins.
Then, certain of the horrible consequences of disciplined, aggressive, competent Goblin hordes covering the earth should any escape, other sorcerers combine forces to lay siege to the tower where the experiments are being conducted.
This isn’t really related to your idea, it’s just what I think of every time someone mentions goblins and chaos in connection with each other.

Painted this nice chaos dwarf lord from macrocosm. I think this is one sjoerdo’s original sculpts, wonder if he has a name…?
Trying to tackle painting some chaos goblins with a terrible hangover, could be sick at any moment…rough!

In other news.
My latest greatest failure:
Broke my manticore in 2 places trying to make 1 of many chaos dwarfs fit on top of it…so annoying…none fit! Not even close

Wonderful painting and converting progress! Impressive. Great to see your CDs get some playtime.
Perhaps making a little saddle throne will make any miniature fit?
Drilling deep and pinning is the best way to tackle that rebellious manticore. Is it ATOM 's sculpt, by any chance? I’d recognize it from a sideway shot, but am unsure with the frontal.

I gave up with my budget chaos goblins at 9 and got sidetracked by other stuff. On looking at the rules that is the min unit size + a slave driver…hooray!
A 20 pt chaff unit…love it
Also an em4 orc costing 25p works great as a hobgoblin archer. Pity i only have the one.
Here is my 1st chaos dwarf on a pony, these will take a long time to finish, i find painting cavalry in 2 seperate pieces painful (double the work for 1 model)

Started my manticore this morning. It is an old gw one that would have had a necromancer on top
Lol the photos appeared backwards. Oh well. Best think about paintint this is using a size 10 brush
Im really struggling to think of the right colour scheme for the cd hero to both fit in and stand apart from his mount

Red, black wash, red, red-orange then orange highlights
(I used to highlight red using white, it wasnt great, i think jac and reaper told me about orange- upgrade worthy of hashut haha)
