Chaos Dwarfs for old world

Finally done with this project, this site was a great inspiration and wanted to share the finished product.

Was going for a sulphur Baron / tyrant vibe with the scheme. something that would fit the black alchemist of zharr station.

Converted a place on the Lamassu base for the Sorcerer Prophet so he could be on or off it, as well as a shield bearers piece in the infernal guard so I could play them with the dwarf rules as needed.

All in all really excited for the old world and to see where the story takes us, even though we are a "legacy " faction.

Amazing how good a simple scheme can be when it’s well executed. Love it

Love the yellow! Highlights give it an ashy vibe too. Looks great.

Neon green suits them surprisingly well!

Totally missed this one. Good job on the painting. Did you get to take them out for a spin on the battlefield yet?

Have had a few games so far, been tooling the list up. Excited to try a lvl2 scorc on flying carpet for a the summoning and curse of hashut poke.

Nice! By all means share what kind of learnings you’ve had. A lvl 2 will be prone to simply fail to cast, I’m afraid. The two spells you mention are both signature spells, so you wouldn’t be able to take both.

A Hobgoblin Khan on wolf with a Ruby Ring would probably fulfil the role, but for much cheaper.

I’ve had 2 practice games:

A 3-game tournament:

And a pick up game with a Khemri player:

I’m waiting for my next batch of models to arrive, so my hobbying and playing has been at a bit of a standstill for the moment, unfortunately :expressionless:

Ah i see, maybe I go lvl 3 or 4 and pick lore familiar and elementalism so i can grab 2 magic missles for harrasment.

Or like you siad invest the points somewhere else.

Ive been feeling the same as you on the dredquakes i think, i can see it being an auto win/lose if they roll right or not.

I normally run 2 units of 10 blunderbuss and a huge 36 block of guard in castle formation that does pretty well, but only late game.

I started using bulls but after a few games switched for iron daemon, as ive noticed bulls take up more space and are less tanky than it.

Magma cannon at one has some games where its mvp and others where i dont hit anything, but it does force my opponent to come to me.

Still learning will post findings!
