There is no colour anymore.
Skies of blue are but a distant memory.
Grass, once lush and green, turned to ash.
Trees and birds and animals blend together in different shades of stone.
I cannot see my own hand, can barely recognise my reflection in the clouded mirror.
Food has lost all flavour, my lover’s embrace its warmth.
A whisper in the wind speaks of a rainbow, of rays of light breaking through the mist, shining in a myriad of colours, brigther than the sun.
But I dare not believe it.
How could such a miracle exist in this world of lifelessness?
There is no colour anymore.
Only grey.
