Began dark forging my way through some more core tonight. Bases first - which feels wrong as when I use flock it’s always last. But in this project it makes no difference and I fancied painting some lava!
I’ve developed a speed paint technique for these bases that I should probably share at some point… maybe another one of my speed painting tutorials?
@Reaver has an excellent tutorial for bases for those interested, which I used to follow quite closely except for the use of an airbrush (which definitely feels like a tool an elf would use to paint with… ) but my owns changed quite a bit over the years.

Black undercoat? Im pleasently surprised, solid chaos dwarfy colour that is!
What will you wash/shade the basecoat with?
Can’t tell if you be spittin str8 fax… or spittin that drinking grime swill. At least you’re doing Hashut’s work again which is all anyone could ask for.

Armour is dead simple - red, highlight orange, dark red wash
Skin is flesh, off white highlight, flesh wash
Metals are even simpler - leadbelcher + aggrax or gold/bronze + flesh wash
Another thing I may do a speed paint tutorial for at some point
